COSPHI Controller reactive power regulators

The energy regulators of the COSPHI Controller series are designed to measure the reactive energy needs of an installation and give the corresponding capacitor connection and disconnection orders to maintain the preset cosine φ, with a control strategy that minimizes the number of operations.

Plug and play function

When a reactive energy regulator is installed, it is necessary to configure a series of parameters for correct operation. It is possible that some of these parameters are difficult to know, such as the voltage phases or the correspondence of the measured current with its voltage, as well as the current transformer ratio. The COSPHI regulator incorporates an automatic process that intelligently finds out the necessary parameters such as:

C/K: Calculate the ratio between the current transformer and the power of the smallest step.

Phase: Identifies the sequence of voltages and the correspondence with the current. That is, it identifies which is UL1, UL2, UL3, if the current measurement is IL1, IL2, IL3 and if it has been connected in reverse.

Number of steps installed and Program: by means of a sequential connection of all the steps, find out how many steps are installed and calculate the program, that is, the power ratio between the capacitors.

Programming function and stage status

In order to optimize the reactivation correction of the capacitor bank according to the installation needs, permanent steps can be forced to exit or enter, achieving greater efficiency (fewer operations) in power factor correction.

Alarms and different display modes

Depending on the severity and type of alarm, the display segments change color (yellow/red).
